our story.....
Less than a year ago, a tin on a shelf was the inspiration that sparked a new passion. Seeking a unique and personal gift for a co-worker, Marathon Cheesecake founder Chantal Dagostino decided the tin could be repurposed and filled with delicious, hand-crafted Christmas cookies - making it the ideal gift for that special friend. Cookies lead to Biscotti and Biscotti lead to Cheesecake - but no ordinary cheesecake. The best, hand-crafted cheesecake with only the best ingredients.

The way we approach one thing is usually an indicator of how we approach everything. For two decades, Chantal has worked tirelessly to become a competitive marathon runner (...now you know the reason for the name). Qualifying and making multiple trips to Boston, New York, Berlin and (this fall) Chicago is no simple task. It takes passion and dedication.
This passion and dedication is inherent in everything Chantal does and when you taste her creations you'll understand.

If you're looking for hand-crafted creations that are made one at a time, using only the best ingredients, you are in the right place. These are not assembly line cheesecakes but made to order masterpieces. Tell us the occasion, some of your favourite flavours, and we will create a truly unique cake just for you. Here we grow again!! The wonderful people and D & A Gourmet Meat and Food (1885 Paris St.) took in a few of our cheesecakes to see how the response would be. Well, the few cakes we had there sold out in a day and a half!! We are working hard to restock them and will have cakes there on a consistent basis. You can still "special order" any of our flavours through them or via our website and we'll bake it up fresh for you. Thank you D & A for giving us a try. We look forward to a long and delicious relationship.
